I had to include this picture because it was one of the neatest things I experienced this season (2010-2011). A big group of Canadas came in and I was lucky enough to knock down three out of the group. One of the three fell about 70 yards away, got up, started flapping and running as fast as he could. Callie didn't see him fall because she was locked on to the two that fell close. I pulled her off the two dead birds, send her on a blind, and after about 100 yards, she saw the goose...still hauling butt across the field. She turned it on and once she caught up with him, they were about 250 yards away. Now Callie is not a big dog, but we all know that it's not the size of the dog but rather the size of the dog's HEART! She carried that goose, still alive and “pecking” her in the side of the head, all the way back to me, delivered him, and then lined up for the other two geese. Now THAT'S the kind of thing that just makes the hunt for a dog lover!

Callie is a very loving, talented dark yellow female who is currently running for her Hunting Retriever Champion. She has her Hunting Retriever title and Finished passes. With a little luck, we will obtain her HRCH this late summer / fall. Her sire is a Grand Hunting Retriever Champion and her dam is out of one of my favorites, NAFC FC AFC Candlewood's Ramblin Man. She has the abilities to go on and run Master and the Grand.

Callie's price is $8,000, but special consideration and discount is available if new owner were to leave her with Washita Retrievers for additional training / testing / titles / Grands.
